Launched in 1987, Japanese designer Junya Watanabe, Kawakubo’s protégé and a patternmaker for CDG, began to design for the Comme des Garçons Homme line. Comme des Garçons Homme embodies the artful legacy of its two original creators, blending Watanabe’s techno-couture eye with Kawakubo’s unstructured, gender-flexing designs to create practical and timeless pieces teeming with unique spirit.
