Suzusan
Originating in the Japanese town of Arimatsu, the Murase family has been refining textiles using the traditional shibori technique for over 100 years and across 5 generations. Hiroyuki Murase, the creative director of Suzusan and the eldest son of the family, founded the label in 2008 with the intention of placing Japanese handicraft in a contemporary context, giving new life to the ancient techniques. Each piece is intricately handmade in Japan and will pass through four or five different artisans before completion.
